What did 2000s jerseys look like?
Fits came back down. The oversized 1990s cut was gone by mid-decade, replaced by shorter, narrower jerseys and the hard split between an authentic and a replica that buyers still argue about, with stitched twill and heavier fabric on one side and screen print on the other.
Almost every league consolidated onto one supplier in this decade, which makes tags unusually decisive. Reebok took the NFL in 2002 and the NBA in 2005, Majestic became MLB's exclusive in 2005, and the NHL moved to Reebok's Rbk EDGE system for 2007-08. Throwback nights turned into a scheduled part of the season rather than a novelty. Watch the numbers too. Stitched twill stayed on authentics while cheaper tiers moved to heat-applied numbering, and authentic sizing switched to the numeric 44, 48 and 52 that collectors still quote today.
